Debt Counseling Program approved by the U.S. Trustee's Office

Hi Curt,

Is your new debt counseling program approved by the U.S. Trustee's office to satisfy the consumer mandatory counseling requirement now necessary before filing bankruptcy?

Best Regards,

  1. Jack,

Debt management comes in two flavors: Debt Consolidation and Debt Settlement. Both, however, are alternatives to bankruptcy.

To answer your question, if the customer qualifies for a debt management consolidation, the answer us no. If the customer does not qualify for debt consolidation, they can consider debt settlement. For an additional fee of $40 a month, we can provide the customer with a bankruptcy attorney at no additional charge and they would have to go through the required, pre-bankruptcy credit counseling.
